RELEASE — Saying “yes” to ENCORE in the March 31, 2021 LOTTO 6/49 draw paid off for Margaret Copland of Kingston, who matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order to win $100,000.

The mother and grandmother, who says she is a regular lottery player, told OLG officials: “When I gave my ticket to the cashier and the machine stopped, I said, ‘Oh gosh no!’ Everyone in the store was just as confused as me!”

Margaret plans to donate some of her prize money to the hospital and share with close family, saying “It is an awesome feeling.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Ontario Street in Kingston.

ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an ENCORE draw every day.
