This past Saturday, June 1st, more than 50 members of Tallack Dojo and the Tallack’s Karate Kids Program raised over 180 lbs of food and more than $300 for The Kingston Partners in Mission Food Bank.
The donations were raised at Tallack Martial Arts 2019 Summer Skills Competition & Black Belt Test, celebrating the end of year accomplishments of the Karate Kids School Program and giving students the chance to test for Black Belt ranking in Karate or Kung-Fu.
The day long event saw several students of Tallack Dojo receiving rank upgrades in both Karate and Kung-Fu, with the organization making a point to congratulate Gabe and Tiffany for their 1st Degree Black Sashes in Shaolin Kung-Fu, as well as Stuart for his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Goju-Ryu Karate.
