Kingston Fire & Rescue is holding a car wash and BBQ in support of the local United Way this Friday, September 27, from 10am to 1pm at the Woodbine Firehall (Station #7).
Bring your vehicle to the firehall and have it washed by firefighters. Donations received for both the car wash and BBQ will go to the United Way KFL&A, the official charity supported by the City of Kingston.
“The United Way KFL&A supports thousands of people in our local community by helping them when they need it most, and Kingston Fire & Rescue is proud to do our small part to help.” said Tom Meers, Platoon Chief.
“Since it’s a PA day, we’re encouraging parents and guardians to bring little ones for a fun day,” added Meers. “They can meet firefighters and Sparky, enjoy a hotdog, and take a tour of a firetruck.”
