Kingston’s Rita Stronach has won the $100,000 top prize with the Instant Bingo Doubler lottery game (Game #3421). Stronach, who works in human resources, has been an occasional lottery player with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for many years, typically choosing tickets for LOTTO MAX, CROSSWORD, and BINGO.
The mother of two discovered her win after scanning her ticket using the OLG app. Reflecting on the moment, she said, “After playing my ticket, I scanned it on the OLG app and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I showed my ticket and the message to my husband, asking, ‘Is this right?’ We were both so shocked, happy, and excited!” She described her win as bringing “a sense of freedom” and reducing some of life’s stress.
Stronach plans to use her winnings to pay some bills. She claimed her prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
Instant Bingo Doubler is priced at $5 per play and offers a top prize of $100,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.75.
Stronach purchased the winning ticket at Circle K on Princess Street in Kingston.
