With just a few days to go, Queen’s University’s K. Lo’s Krew has raised over $32,000 and is the top fundraising post secondary team in Canada. The team, featuring over 130 members, is set to participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure Sunday in Kingston.

Heading up the team are Jodi Snowdon and Kim Wilkinson from the Office of Advancement. They decided in the spring to form the team to support colleague and friend Karen Logan who is fighting breast cancer.

“We are so proud of K.Lo’s Krew – it started as a little idea and has grown into something bigger than we ever expected. It certainly shows that people can make a significant difference when they work together and aim high,” says Ms Snowdon.

Ms Logan, who began working at Queen’s in 2000, is a stewardship officer in Advancement. Her kind and caring nature serves her well in her work recognizing and honouring donors to Queen’s.

Along with K. Lo’s Krew, the Queen’s rugby team is second in Canada for post-secondary fundraising teams. The team of 113 people has raised over $15,000.
