Utilities Kingston Releases Latest Water Quality Reports

The 2015 annual reports on drinking water quality – prepared in response to Ontario Regulation 170 of the Safe Water Drinking Act – has been released by Utilities Kingston.

Utilities Kingston states that it has continued to meet and exceed Ontario’s strict water quality standards through a series of filtration, treatment, monitoring and backup systems in place to supply high quality drinking water to the urban area of Kingston.

The 2015 reports lists the test results for the King St. Water Treatment Plant, serving central Kingston; the Point Pleasant Water Treatment Plant, which serves west Kingston; and the Cana Water Treatment System, serving part of the Kingston East community.

Copies of the annual reports are available to the public from Utilities Kingston in City Hall at 216 Ontario Street or online – including reports going back to 2006 – at UtilitiesKingston.com/Water.
