Kingston Mayor to Host Public Webinar about Council Progress

Published on: 2013/07/23 - in Featured Releases

On Wednesday August 7, Mayor Mark Gerretsen will host his first online webinar to engage residents and share a presentation charting Council’s progress on the strategic plan, highlight accomplishments and what’s coming next.

“This webinar will engage residents in a new way. My hope is, the more convenient we make the conversation, the more people will get involved,” said Mayor Mark Gerretsen. “By logging on residents can hear about Council’s progress and ask the important questions from the comfort of their own homes.”

The webinar will be held on Wednesday August 7 at 6:30 p.m. Residents who want to join the conversation should go to CityofKingston.ca/webinar and select the ‘Mayor Conversations’ event for Wednesday August 7 at 6:30 p.m. or select ‘Mayor Conversations’ on this webpage.

For more information on the webinar and a how-to guide visit CityofKingston.ca/webinar. To bring residents this new engagement opportunity, the City is partnering with St. Lawrence College for the use of their web conferencing program Cisco WebEx Event Center.

A webinar is an online presentation where residents, with access to a computer and an internet connection, can participate from the comfort of their home. Participants log in to watch the presentation and can interact with the Mayor by asking questions.
