Guitar Workshop to Be Hosted by Joe’s M.I.L.L.

String It Up – a guitar string clinic being hosted by Joe’s Musical Instrument Lending Library, (Joe’s M.I.L.L.) – will be taking place this Saturday, August 10.

UPDATE: According to an email from Joe’s M.I.L.L. : “Due to lack of registrants, Joe’s M.I.L.L. has decided to cancel the String It Up Workshop scheduled for tomorrow, August 10th. with Jesse Lacharite. Plans are underway to decide when and where to hold this workshop in the future, so stay tuned to our website for updated information

Registrants will be limited to just 20 people, who will each participate in a two hour hands on lesson on the different types of strings, how to choose the right strings for your guitar, and how to install them and perform regular maintenance.

“Well known Kingston musician and guitar teacher Jesse Lacharite will present the hands on workshop” said Vice-President of Joe’s M.I.L.L., Richard Burgman, and Renaissance Music of Kingston will be providing free guitar strings for all the participants.

The registration fee is $10.00 and includes a set of strings for each person, access to the expertise and experience of Jesse Lacharite, and a one in two chance of winning a battery powered guitar tuner.

“The Board of Directors of Joe’s M.I.L.L. greatly appreciates the generous support of Renaissance Music, the Community Foundation for Kingston and Area, and Jesse Lacharite for planning a unique teaching workshop which will be both educational and entertaining as the same time” said Mr. Burgman.

The August 10 clinic will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the basement of the Boys & Girls Club located at 559 Bagot Street in Kingston (map).
