Kingston Police Seek Identity of Bicycle Theft Suspects

Kingston Police have posted a video of suspected bike thieves in action, and hope members of the public can assist in identifying the featured two men.

According to police, the incident took place around 8:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, outside the Giant Tiger located at 811 Princess Street.

On the video (embedded below), two males are seen approaching the front of the store on bicycles. They then go immediately to the bike rack, with one of the men carrying a set of bolt cutters that he uses to cut the lock on a bicycle while the other man holds it steady. After the lock is cut, the duo leave the scene with the stolen bicycle.

Both men appear to be Caucasian, in their twenties or thirties, with short hair and thin to medium builds. The one male is wearing a white t-shirt, dark shorts and has a dark sling backpack. The other male is a dark tank top, grey shorts.
