Brett Emmons – frontman of the Kingston-based, chart topping The Glorious Sons – took to social media Monday evening where he perform a newly penned, COVID-19 inspired melody, ‘Quarantine in a Rental Car’ (video below).
“At home waiting this thing out, trying to keep my mind busy,” Emmons wrote on Facebook, adding that this is the first song in a new (social media performances) segment of ‘isolation songs’ he’ll be posting. [Update: Brett just released a second song ‘Nothing Dies‘ within the past hour – embedded below, followed by links to future “Isolation” tunes]
He said that not all songs will be about “this heavy topic we’re all facing”, referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, but “it’s just been a long week and I needed to get this one off my chest.”
Emmons concluded his Facebook post by writing: “Enjoy. Stay safe. Wash your hands. Please avoid the elderly and those who have problems with their immune system.”
