The City of Kingston is inviting individuals, community groups, and businesses to participate in the 2024 Intercultural Arts Festival, scheduled for September 22 at Confederation Park and Springer Market Square.

The annual festival, designed to showcase Kingston’s multicultural community, will feature live music and dance performances, workshops, an arts and crafts market, and international cuisine. The event aims to celebrate cultural diversity and promote community engagement.

Vanessa Mensah, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the City of Kingston, says, “The Intercultural Arts Festival has become a cherished community event in Kingston, fostering cultural understanding and strengthening relationships. Embracing and celebrating our differences and similarities strengthens our connections and enhances our sense of community.”

Participants are permitted to set up a maximum of two 10’x10′ pop-up tents at the festival’s International Pavilion. The city is also seeking groups interested in performing on the main stage or hosting interactive cultural activities throughout the day.

Interested parties are encouraged to complete the Expression of Interest form by June 30 to secure their participation in this year’s festival.
