Kingston residents and visitors can look forward to a night of hockey excitement as the City of Kingston presents a free broadcast of Game 5 of the 2023 NHL playoff series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Florida Panthers. The event will be held at Springer Market Square on Friday, May 12, and the puck will drop at 7 p.m.

All members of the public are welcome to attend the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs as space is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, there will be limited accessible seating space available for those who need it.

The broadcast of the game will be closed captioned, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the event. Residents are reminded that Springer Market Square is an alcohol-free and smoke-free space.

For those planning to attend, Kingston Transit can help you get to Springer Market Square with its Trip Planner with additional information about available routes on Kingston Transit’s website. If you’re driving, it’s recommended that you plan to carpool to reduce congestion and check available surface parking lots.

Accessible parking spots are available on Ontario and Brock Streets, with the closest spots being on these streets.

In the event that Game 6 is necessary, another broadcast party will be held at Springer Market Square on Sunday, May 14.
