The City of Kingston is inviting the public to attend its fitness open house on Saturday, January 9th.

Between 9 am and 1 pm, there will be free open house fitness classes at both the INVISTA Fitness Centre and Artillery Park Aquatic Centre.

“Make 2016 a year of feeling awesome. Come try our welcoming, affordable facilities. Bring a friend, take a tour and try a fitness class,” said recreation programs supervisor, Lynda Breen.

The INVISTA Fitness Centre at 1350 Gardiners Road will be hosting a Cycle Fit class from 10:00 am to 10:45 am as well as a Body Sculpt & Core class from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.

The Artillery Park Aquatic Centre at 382 Bagot Street will also host a Cycle Fit class between 10:00 am and 10:45 am, along with a Weekend Warrior (strength training) program from 11:00 am until 11:45 am.

The City also encourage the public to consider getting the annual Wellness Pass, which offers access to both City fitness centres for one price.

Members can enjoy the cardio and strength equipment, drop-in programming, pool and the sauna at both facilities for less than $33 a month for adults and less than $27 a month for teens.

For more information check out the City’s Fitness Centres website. If you plan to use the bus to attend the open house, or use the facilities regularly as a member, visit the Google Transit Trip Planner.
