Cirque du Soleil will bring its celebrated production, OVO, to Kingston for a limited engagement from March 5 to March 9, 2025, at Slush Puppy Place. This production, described as “a colourful intrusion into a new day in the life of insects,” features high-energy acrobatics and explores the beauty of biodiversity through its depiction of insect life.
The performance showcases a range of acrobatic acts that highlight the unique traits of different insect species. The show, which premiered in Montreal in 2009, has been performed in 40 countries and seen by over 7 million people. In 2022, OVO introduced three new acts and characters, enhancing its portrayal of the diverse and dynamic world of insects.
The Kingston run will include seven performances over five days. Evening performances are scheduled from Wednesday, March 5, to Friday, March 7, at 7 p.m. Matinee and evening shows will take place on Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Featuring a cast of 100 members from 25 countries, including 52 artists, OVO is known for its imaginative acts, such as crickets leaping on trampolines and a spider contorting within her web. The production combines humor, chaos, and wonder to captivate audiences of all ages.
