Joe’s M.I.L.L. will be presenting a “hands-on” Blues Guitar Workshop this Saturday August 24, 2013.
The educational workshop features Peter Karp and Sue Foley and is being held in support of the Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Instrument Lending Library.
“Registrants are encouraged to bring along your favourite guitar, or once you have purchased your ticket, you can reserve an instrument from Joe’s M.I.L.L.” said Vice President, Richard Burgman, who is also one of the organizers of this event. “Space is strictly limited so people are advised to purchase their tickets early from Brian’s Record Option at 131 Princess Street, Kingston, (613) 542-2452 ” he added.
The event is sponsored by Kingston Arts Council and the Kingston Blues Society with tickets costing $20.00 per person.
Everyone is welcome to attend the workshop for an afternoon of playing the blues with a couple of the greats on Saturday, August 24th – right in the midst of the city’s Limestone Blues Festival – from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the RCHA Club, 193 Ontario Street in Kingston (map).
