The upcoming America Cup Stocksport Tournament, organized by the Canadian Ice-Stock Federation in collaboration with the South Frontenac Stocksport Club, is set to be held from July 24 to July 27, 2023. The tournament will take place at Centennial Park in Harrowsmith, Ontario.

Competitors from Austria, Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia, Paraguay, and Canada will gather to participate in the thrilling sport of ice stock. This sport is often likened to a combination of bocce and curling and promises to deliver seven days of intense competition. The action-packed event will kick off with the Canada Cup on July 22 and 23, followed by the America Cup matches from July 24 to 27. Games will commence at 9 a.m. each day and conclude at approximately 4 p.m.

While spectators are encouraged to attend, it is advised to bring lawn chairs, ample water, and sunscreen as seating availability is limited. To cater to the culinary needs of attendees, the 38 Special Food Truck will be stationed on-site from July 22 to 27, serving from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The much-anticipated Opening Ceremonies will be held on Monday, July 24 at 3 p.m., taking place under the Grand Pavilion in Centennial Park. The ceremony will feature visiting dignitaries, including the Austrian Ambassador to Canada, who will deliver welcoming remarks. Additionally, a symbolic flag exchange will occur among the athletes representing the participating countries.

The America Cup stands as a prestigious international tournament, with this year’s edition being organized by the Canadian Ice Stock Federation in conjunction with the South Frontenac Stocksport Club. It is worth noting that in 2020, the Canadian Men’s Team, consisting of members from the South Frontenac Stocksport Club, triumphed and secured the Gold Medal in Regen, Germany.
