Music in the Gardens returns to the Lions Civic Gardens this summer bringing live, local music to Kingston’s west end on select Thursday evenings.
The free concerts will be held at the Lion’s Civic Gardens near the Cataraqui Centre on the below dates beginning at 7pm and is brought to the community by the City in partnership with the Kingston Musicians’ Union Local 518 and CaraCo.
“Kingston has a thriving music scene, and we are pleased to support our local artists and residents with this free concert series,” said Gennaro DiSanto, Chief Executive Officer, CaraCo.
This year’s performances feature:
- July 7– Al Lerman
- July 14 – Rick Fines
- July 21 – Spencer Evans Trio
- Aug. 4 – Cassie Noble
- Aug.11 – Scott Owen
- Aug. 18 – Triola
- Aug. 25 – Big Phat Horn Band
- A special weekend concert, featuring Andy Forgie, will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 2:30 p.m.
Free parking is available at the nearby Cataraqui Centre parking lot with an accessible drop off area available at the top of the park, using the road behind Kingston Frontenac Public Library, Isabel Turner branch. Attendees are also advised to bring a lawn chair.
