The 2025 Kingston Ice Wolves Cup, hosted by the Greater Kingston Girls Hockey Association (GKGHA), will bring girls’ hockey teams from across Ontario to Kingston and Napanee from January 3 to January 5, 2025. The annual event, running for over 20 years, will feature more than 70 teams competing across multiple divisions.
“Girl’s hockey is exploding in Canada and the emergence of the PWHL has only increased the interest in girls playing hockey,” said Jon Walker, President of the GKGHA. “We have over 70 teams from across Eastern Ontario and new this year we’ve also added a U7 division to encourage our youngest players.”
The tournament includes divisions ranging from U9 to U18, with the addition of a U7 division for beginners. Each participating team is guaranteed three games in a round-robin format, culminating in championship games on Sunday, January 5.
“This tournament has a big economic impact in the Kingston Community every year, from restaurants and hotels to local tourism,” Walker said. “We look forward to welcoming the players and teams for a great weekend of girls hockey.”
