[ Update: Click here for information about the 2014 Buskers Rendezvous ]
The 2013 edition of Kingston’s Buskers Rendezvous officially began at 11am Thursday on the St. Andrew’s Church lawn (map) and will run until Sunday, July 14th.
The event, which began as a fun addition to Downtown Kingston’s July Sidewalk Sale, has become known as one of the preeminent festivals of its kind in the country.
For the 2013 Buskers Rendezvous there will once again be a wide assortment of both new and returning buskers who will delight spectators of all ages with their juggling, acrobatics, dancing, singing, fire eating, magic tricks, and more.
These local and international buskers will be performing in downtown Kingston for free, although – since Buskers earn their living by “passing the hat” – audience members who enjoy their show can let them know when the hat is passed their way. It’s up to you how much you pay.
Details about the event, along with photos and sponsor information, can be found on the Kingston Buskers Rendezvous website – including a schedule and a map for the performances.
