The 3rd annual Wolfe Island Garden Party kicked off today, beginning a full week of events with 29 music acts performing throughout the seven days.
Presented by Wolfe Island Records and Wolfe Island Spring Craft Brewery, visitors and locals will be able to listen to great Canadian music, feast on delicious and nutritious local food, participate in talks, learn about Wolfe Island agriculture, and meet the people of Wolfe Island.
Live music is being featured at a variety of venues and settings – with many of the musicians having recorded their albums at Wolfe Island Records’ studio – including Monday at the Wolfe Island Pub & Pizzeria with It Starts with the Roots hosted by Teilhard Frost with Emilie Steele, Dayna Pirso, Jon McLurg and Waylon James.

Additional highlights of Garden Party week include a Farm-to-Table 4-Course Dinner, a Songwriter’s Circle, the Wolfe Island Gallery Seasonal Opening, a Farmer’s Market and day-long Live Music performances at the General Wolfe Waterfront. Other free activities include Plein-Air Painting, Japanese Drumming, Dance / Movement demonstrations and Square Dancing.
This is a Pay-What-You-Can event – organizers recommend $20 for a Weekend Pass which visitors can donate on site – and admission for children is free. All funds raised going to support Wolfe Island Art and the Wolfe Island Community Garden. The Wolfe Island Ferry runs all day and night and is free of charge.
