LOCAL NAPANEE AREA NON-PROFIT GROUP EXPANDS INTO KINGSTON

If Wishes Were Dresses, a local group that provides dresses to lesser privileged girls in the Napanee and surrounding area, will be extending their “boutique’ this year to include Kingston dates.

With a lot of interest and increase in demand the addition of a second “boutique” in the Kingston area was a must.

If Wishes Were Dresses collects gently used formal wear and every spring opens a pop-up ‘boutique’ where the girls can come and shop for their:

  • dress,
  • shoes
  • and accessories.
  • for FREE!

If Wishes Were Dresses relies entirely on the generosity of community donations and support to have the appropriate items available for these girls. Local businesses receive recognition on our social media, advertising and at local fundraising events for their sponsorships.

This year our Napanee Boutique is being hosted by Doyles Windows at 140 Industrial Boulevard, with appointments available Wednesday May 1st to Saturday May 3rd. The new Kingston Boutique host is Calvin Park Public School at 153 VanOrder Drive, with appointments available Thursday May 15th to Saturday May 17th.

Anyone who needs a dress is asked to contact us to book a private appointment to receive a dress. Many sponsorship opportunities are available and donations of gently used formal wear are always accepted.
