Winter Fun Day Happening at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area (Update)

Published on: 2017/01/13 - in Releases

One of our most popular seasonal events, the Winter Fun Day returns for a 15th consecutive year to the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville.

UPDATE: This event has been cancelled. The CRCA released the following message:

The popular Winter Fun Day event scheduled for this Saturday, January 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. has unfortunately been cancelled because of the lack of snow, ice and very poor trail conditions at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville. The event will not be rescheduled.

The skating rink is currently closed due to unsafe ice conditions. For trail and ice conditions please call the MJWA info line at 613-345-1990, visit www.crca.ca or visit our facebook page.

The Mush Larose sled dog races are also back by popular demand, with the highlight being the Anne Melrose Memorial Race starting at 11 a.m.

If you get hungry, refreshments will available at the Nature Centre. For more information and updates on other special attractions on this exciting day, visit us on Facebook or at www.crca.ca/events.
