RELEASE — The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is co-hosting a special workshop with Forests Ontario that will be of great benefit to property owners interested in large-scale tree planting and the stewardship of forested properties.

The free event takes place next Monday, Feb. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lou Jeffries, Gananoque & T.L.T.I Recreation Centre, 600 King Street East, Gananoque.

Interested in growing a healthy forest on your open land? CRCA and its partners can help, including providing information on available funding. The workshop will offer information on forest management and stewardship, tree planting funding and other financial incentives for establishing and managing your forests.

Presentations by forestry experts will include a variety of topics, such as: 50 Million Tree Program, Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program and the Private Land Tree Planting Program. Speakers participating in the program will be representing Forests Ontario, the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority, Sustainable Resources and the Ontario Woodlot Association.
