Kingston to Rock the Square with Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

Note-for-note, cut-for-cut, Classic Albums Live will recreate the sounds of the Beatle’s legendary Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album in Springer Market Square to kick off the Canada Day weekend.

The City of Kingston is proud to present this free, all-ages Rockin’ the Square concert on Friday, June 29 at 8 p.m.

Classic Albums Live will play every single track of the brilliant album, including “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” “With a Little Help from My Friends,” the title track and more. All of the instrumental and vocal tracks will be performed live by these talented musicians.

Classic Albums Live has been re-creating music’s most iconic albums since 2003. Based in Toronto, the musicians travel the world performing these albums, note-for-note, cut-for-cut.

Rockin’ the Square is free annual City of Kingston program that has previously featured artists such as Arkells, The Trews, Big Sugar, Sarah Harmer, 54-40, Platinum Blonde, Wintersleep, David Wilcox and Hawksley Workman.

A second Rockin’ the Square is scheduled to take place Friday, Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. The artist will be announced in the coming week.

The Utilities Kingston Water Buggy will be on site so please bring your reusable water bottles. An accessible seating area is available. The event is rain or shine. For more information closer to the date watch CityofKingston.ca.
