Santa Claus Coming to the Kingston Parade

Published on: 2011/11/14 - in Releases

Santa Claus is coming to town at the annual Greater Kingston Nighttime Santa Parade this Saturday, November 19th.

The parade will leave from Novelis at 5:00pm (Bath Road & Princess Street) and travel down Princess to Ontario Street. The parade will consist of over 50 beautifully decorated holiday floats and five marching bands.

The big guy, Santa Claus himself, will bring up the rear of the parade.

“The Kingston parade is one of my favorites,” says Santa. “I travel the world and participate in numerous parades but there’s something about the nighttime twinkle and the lovely people in Kingston that makes this the highlight of the season for both me and Mrs. Claus.”

Following the parade will be the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Springer Market Square starting at 7:30. Come listen to Christmas carols and watch Christmas come alive as Santa lights the tree and officially kicks off the holiday season.

The parade committee would like to remind spectators to bring their food donations for the Partners in Mission Food Bank who will once again be collecting food along the parade route.
