Queen’s University will be getting their third Tim Horton’s outlet this fall, with the new site open in the John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC) on Union Street.
The JDUC location on the first floor was previously occupied by the University’s post office, with renovatyions set to begin soon with an expected opening date around the middle of this September.
“The additional location is intended to alleviate the lineups that develop during peak times at the Tim Hortons in the Queen’s Centre,” said Bruce Griffiths, Executive Director, Housing and Hospitality Services. “We anticipate the JDUC outlet will improve the speed of service based on the positive impact of the second outlet in the Biosciences Complex.”
Members of the University community can purchase a quick coffee, tea and a selection of baked goods at the new outlet, similar to the one located at the Biosciences Complex on main campus. The Tim Horton’s situated at the Queen’s Centre will remain offering the chain’s complete menu which including sandwiches and soups.
