The revised draft report on the North King’s Town community visioning exercise and preliminary market analysis is now available for online input and is the subject of an upcoming open house.
“This draft, revised with help from the North King’s Town Working Group, reflects the community input we have received on the issues facing this area and on how to realize its tremendous potential,” says Paige Agnew, director, planning, building and licensing.
Come to the open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 at the Belle Park clubhouse at 731 Montreal St. to review and discuss the draft with City staff – or offer your comments on the revised draft at www.CityofKingston.ca/GetInvolved until April 24.
Once finalized, this document will guide the development of the secondary plan for North King’s Town – the Inner Harbour and old industrial area in Kingston’s near north-end.

Secondary plans contain a land-use plan and policies, urban design guidelines, transportation plan, servicing plan and financial plan to direct the growth of a particular area.
The first draft report on the North King’s Town visioning exercise and preliminary market analysis was released for public review in November.
