Volunteers Construct Five New Garden Beds for Community

in Releases by

Local charity foundation Town Homes Kingston posted the following release to thank volunteers and sponsoring businesses & agencies for a successful Inner Harbour Community Garden Collaborative Build Day on June 8 that added five new gardens to the city:

Thank you to our volunteers, members of our community and local dignitaries who came together on Friday, June 8, 2018, for the Inner Harbour Community Garden Collaborative’s (IHCGC) Build Day.

Over 100 volunteers participated in constructing 5 new accessible garden beds at 3 locations (263 Weller Avenue, 361 Montreal Street, 342 Patrick Street). These new garden beds will provide our community members with places they can plant, grow and harvest their own fresh, healthy food with their neighbours, regardless of their age, garden knowledge, and financial circumstances.
