Kool Kamp

Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington reports eight summer student positions are available for Kool Kamp, helping local kids with developmental needs:

Family and Children’s Services is put students to work doing some amazing things each summer. They run our Kool Kamp that helps kids in Lennox and Addington with developmental needs.

They organize our program that sends the kids we serve to summer camps all over our two counties. They help write the life stories of kids in care. They help us raise the money we need to fill in the gaps in our government funded services. They help us deliver our newly upgraded access program that helps families connect.

That might not sound like much. But before the summer is done they will make a kid with a developmental need feel like they belong, give a kid a summer smile at camp, tell a child their life story, raise money to send deserving youth to college and bring parents and kids together. If that isn’t changing the world for the better, what is?

If a student you know wants to make a difference this summer, then tell them to apply. They will provide the elbow grease and we’ll provide the world for them to change. For the better.
