CAA Invites Public to Tree Planting Event

Published on: 2011/04/27 - in Releases

This Mother’s Day weekend grab a shovel and give back to your community by planting a tree in your neighbourhood.

Did you know that planting just one tree can make a difference? Trees clean the air, store carbon, provide shade and prevent flooding.  With the weather warming up, this is the ideal time to pull on those gardening gloves and start digging holes for tree seedlings.

On May 7, join CAA South Central Ontario and Trees Ontario in Windsor, Orillia, Kingston, Kitchener/Waterloo and Owen Sound to help us save the environment, one tree at a time.

Visit on to learn more.

Participant Information:

Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes (steel toe if possible), and bring a hat and/or sunscreen.
