The civic holiday, Aug. 1, will create some schedule changes to municipal services that include:
Kingston Transit: All buses run on a Sunday schedule on Monday – except for Route 18, which runs on a Saturday schedule to accommodate passengers at the train station.
Plan to get there by bus using the Trip Planner at www.cityofkingston.ca/tripplanner.
Garbage, Green Bin and recycling: There is no collection on Monday. For the rest of the week, collection occurs the day after your regular day.
Administrative Offices: All administrative offices, including social services, provincial offences and Utilities Kingston are closed. In the event of a utility emergency, such as a gas smell or a water main break, call Utilities Kingston (24-hours) at 613-546-1181.
Kingston Area Recycling Centre: Closed Monday.
Artillery Park Aquatics & Fitness Centre: Closed Monday.
Outdoor Aquatic Centre: Open Monday.
Wading Pools and Splash Pads: Open.
INVISTA Centre: Arena Operations: Open. Fitness & Wellness Centre: Closed Monday.
Wally Elmer Neighbourhood Centre: Closed Monday.
Grand Theatre Box Office: Closed Monday.
Libraries: All branches of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library will be closed.
Portsmouth Olympic Harbour: Closed Monday.
Oakwood Daycare: Closed Monday.
