City Seeks Input on Heritage Property Grant Program

Attention heritage property owners: the City of Kingston is looking for input on its heritage property grant program (HPG) so it can be improved to better support your efforts to conserve your property.

Those who own properties designated under the Ontario Heritage Act – and others with an interest in the program – are being asked to complete a short online survey about the HPG is available at by May 26.


If you own a Kingston property designated under the Ontario Heritage Act, you can now apply to the program for funding to assist in conserving your valued heritage property.

The program now offers 50 per cent of funding for eligible projects up to a maximum of $2,000. Applications are considered beginning March 1 of each year, and are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Please note that the grant application requires you to also submit a heritage permit application for the work being proposed.
