Michèle Langlois from Downtown Kingston! will be presented with the Phil Quattrocchi “Hall of Cheer” award at Thursday’s Feb Fest Opening Ceremonies.
The award was created to honour the memory of Mr. Quattrocchi in 2007.
He is remembered by many in the community for his tireless efforts in building a winter festival in Kingston.
The award is presented to key volunteers and contributors to Feb Fest whose enthusiasm, determination and hard work has had a positive effect on the success and the ‘fun-ness’ of Feb Fest. Past winners include Jibin Joseph, Mark Segsworth , Jamie Brash and Jim Dorey.
“Michèle was a unanimous choice for the award this year,” says Feb Fest Executive Committee Chair Bryon Springer. “Michèle’s dedication, determination and hard work have made Feb Fest the great event it is today.”
Michèle has been the driving force behind Feb Fest from its infancy when a winter festival was being designed around the boardroom table. All those who have worked with her on this great event know her for her infectious smile and warm heart. Feb Fest and Kingston are indeed lucky to have someone with her skills working hard every day on their behalf.
