Mayor Mark Gerretsen will be encouraging Kingstonians to make changes to combat climate change at the annual Earth Hour Unplugged concert in Springer Market Square 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. this Saturday, March 29.

“We know we have to take action, at home and at work, to combat climate change,” said Mayor Mark Gerretsen. “I hope Kingstonians participate in Earth Hour, and think about the ways we can reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Our collective actions can have a huge impact!”

Let the City know about your climate action plans at as we get ready for the upcoming release of the community-built Kingston Climate Action Plan due out on Clean Air Day, June 4.

Those visiting the City’s website before the lights go off for Earth Hour will also want to offer input on the Environmental Priorities Survey being conducted on behalf of the Kingston Environmental Advisory Forum (KEAF). The survey, at, will help KEAF gauge residents’ environmental priorities.
