City Council’s Strategic Priorities “Trending in Desired Direction”

The City’s 2017 Annual Report, featuring an update to residents on the progress made on six strategic priorities set by council in 2015, is now available online and in print:

RELEASE — The City of Kingston’s 2017 Annual Report highlights progress made on the six strategic priorities set by council, with 95 per cent of the key strategic initiatives trending in the desired direction. Get your copy of the 2017 Annual Report at CityofKingston.ca/publications.

“2017 was a year of many successes for Kingston:  We achieved the household waste diversion goal of 60 per cent three years early; we enjoyed the largest increase in transit ridership in the country, achieving a total in excess of six million passenger trips; and the city was named the number one small city in North America for foreign investment – those are just a few of the successes outlined in this report,” says Gerard Hunt, CAO of the City of Kingston.

The report provides a progress update on the six strategic priorities set by council in 2015 with snapshots of progress, along with photos and infographics highlighting achievements.

Printed copies of the 2017 Annual Report are available from City Hall and other city facilities.
