April Traffic Delays and Road Construction for Kingston

The City of Kingston has posted the below list of road construction projects and events expected to have an impact on traffic flow next week.

Traffic delays

Expect delays on John Counter Boulevard between the CN rail line and Portsmouth Ave. beginning Monday, April 20 until Friday, April 24 for gas line construction work being done by Utilities Kingston.

Expect delays on Front Road between Trail Head Place and INVISTA beginning Monday, April 13 until late October while crews complete work on the bridge.

The La Salle Causeway will be down to one lane overnight beginning Wednesday, April 22 at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 23 while contractors for Public Works and Government Services Canada wash the bridge in preparation for the operating season.
Road closures (events)

Ontario Street will be closed from Brock to Clarence on Sunday, April 26 from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the Kingston Road Runners Association 5km and 21km races and awards. Also note: One-way traffic pattern on the La Salle Causeway from 9:25 a.m. to 10:25 a.m.

Market Street will be closed from Ontario to King beginning 9 a.m. on Monday, April 27 to Wednesday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. daily for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour.
