RELEASE — The City of Kingston is hiring over 185 students to fill positions across departments this summer. If you’re a full-time student, returning to school in the fall, apply now.

“Whether you’re interested in working with financial services or spending time outdoors as a member of the public works or parks and recreation team, the City has so many exciting work opportunities,” says Dave Mignault, manager of organization development with the City.

The City’s summer student positions offer competitive pay and look great on a resume.

“A job with the City is valuable stepping stone and a great way for students to contribute to their community,” says Mignault.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a summer job with the City, you must be a full-time secondary or post-secondary student who is returning to full-time study in September 2019.

How to apply

To apply, create your online profile – and attach your resume and supporting details/documents – at CityofKingston.ca/Careers.

Once your profile is created, you can apply to any City position with a click of the mouse. Your information will be kept confidential.

“Check often, and apply early,” suggests Mignault. “While the majority of student positions will be posted on Feb. 4, there may be postings that continue to trickle in.”
