YMCA of Kingston will be celebrating the reopening of its newly renovated Leisure Pool on Friday, February 22.

The event takes place at the YMCA, 100 Wright Crescent, beginning at 10:45am with opening statements from Deputy Mayor Simon Chapelle, YMCA of Kingston CEO Rob Adams, and Fund Development Manager Anita Mercier.

This will be followed by an official ribbon cutting and then a plaque presentation commemorating the names of those donors who made this renovation possible.

The ceremony will conclude with a celebrity swimming race with competitors YMCA CEO Rob Adams, KROCK radio personality Matt Soper, and record-breaking marathon swimmer Vicki Keith.

YMCA of Kingston says it is hosting this event to show their appreciation for the generosity of donors that include the Anna & Edward Churchill Foundation, the J.P. Bickell Foundation, the Estate of Larry Gibson, the Gill Ratcliffe Foundation, Taggart-Parkes Foundation, and T.A Andre & Sons (Ontario) Ltd.
