City Seeks Input on Playground Improvements at West Park Pop-Up

in News by

Improvements are being planned by the City of Kingston for the playgrounds at West Park (1250 Acadia Dr.) and it wants to hear your input at a pop-up event on Thursday, May 24 from 4pm to 7pm.

There will be a brief survey at the pop-up for you to choose your preferences, and both City staff and landscape designers will be on hand to your questions. There will also be activity bags available for the kids.

“If you use the park, it’s worth it to make a point of being there on May 24 to see the draft concepts,” said Neal Unsworth, parks development manager, in a release. “Tell us what you think and help us refine planned improvements.”

For residents who can’t make it to the pop-up, there will be an online survey available online at the City’s ‘Get Involved‘ page between May 25 and June 8.

Improvements being considered for the park include updating the playground with new play equipment & safety surfacing and basketball pad updates.

Construction of the final improvements will begin in the fall.
