The City of Kingston is seeking the community’s input on how it would like to be informed about planned road work.

A survey is now online as the City prepares to develop 2019-2022 road and sidewalk construction plans along with additional infrastructure upgrades, including the Third Crossing bridge over the Cataraqui River.

“Once projects have been identified and prioritized, these planned road upgrades mean construction, which affects pedestrians, cyclists and motorists” said Mark Campbell, director, engineering. “Please let us know how you would like to be informed about the construction phase of the work happening in your neighbourhood, on your commute and at the places you visit.”

The City’s 2015-2018 infrastructure plan included projects such as the widening of John Counter Boulevard, the reconstruction of Princess Street, and numerous large residential road-reconstruction projects.

The five-minute survey must be submitted by November 30 and can be found at GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca.

Survey results, which will be posted on the Third Crossing and the City’s websites, will help to show how residents are being, and want to be, informed about projects and will also ask if you want to receive notifications on the Third Crossing project.
