The Hip Memorabilia Up for Bid in the United Way ‘Fare for Friends’

The United Way Fare for Friends auction is set to launch next week, offering a variety of unique experiences, original pieces of art, furniture, gift baskets of products and many other items to bid on.


UPDATE: The United Way reports its final Fare for Friends event raised more than $140,000 for the United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington. 


Fans of the Tragically Hip will have the opportunity to own a limited edition (#2 of 10) 17″x22″ fine art print “Kingston Goodnight” captured and signed by David Bastedo, official photographer for The Tragically Hip, pictured above.

The image captures The Hip acknowledging the crowd after their final show of the Man Machine Poem Tour at Kingston’s Rogers K-Rock Centre on August 20, 2016.

There are also two guitars – one yellow and one blue – that have been signed by The Tragically Hip’s Rob Baker, Paul Langlois and Gord Sinclair.

Other items include vacation spots, fine dining,unique works of art and much more.

The auction begins Monday, August 27 at 10am and concludes September 17 at 11am with proceeds going to support the local United Way.
