The City is seeking input from parents and caregivers for the child and family-centred programs and services that are offered in Kingston and the County of Frontenac.

A survey to provide feedback is online now until April 21 at the City website’s Get Involved page.

Everyone who completes the survey can also choose to have their name entered into a draw for a $100 pre-paid VISA gift card.

These survey results will help guide the new Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres.

“It is an exciting time for Ontario’s childcare and early years’ system as parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to shape the programs and services available in the region,” said Laura Austin, supervisor, childcare and homemaking programs, in a release.

Programs and services are currently provided through Better Beginnings, Ontario Early Years Centres and Parenting, and Family Literacy Centres.

A commitment was made by the Ministry of Education to integrate and transform those programs into a unified program with the City’s childcare programs division managing the new centres.
