St. Lawrence College Hosts Provincial Golf Championship Next Week

St. Lawrence College (SLC) will host the Belairdirect Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Men’s and Women’s Golf Provincial Championship at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club in Kingston next week.

More than 70 golfers will be participating in the tournament between September 29 and October 2, representing Confederation, Durham, Fanshawe, Fleming, Georgian, Humber, Lakehead-Orillia, Mohawk, Niagara, Sault, St. Clair, and St. Lawrence College.

SLC’s golf team recently finished first overall at a Niagara College tournament where two of its members, Peter Beneteau and Jamaal Moussaoui, were named the best overall.

The SLC Men’s Golf team also finished first overall at the 2019 Bert Kea Invitational hosted by Queen’s University – competing against Queen’s, Ottawa, Guelph, Brock, and other high-ranking universities – and won bronze at the OCAA Championships last fall.

This year’s SLC Men’s Team includes Peter Beneteau, Mike Beneteau, Jamaal Moussaoui, Trent Snider, Adam Dowdall and Bryson McCulloch. SLC Women’s Team members are Jennifer Mortimore and Alyssa Proderick.

With campuses in Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall, St. Lawrence College boasts a close-knit community of 10,000 full-time students and more than 99,000 alumni.
