The City reports a pedestrian signal at the intersection of King Street at Beverley has been activated and temporary fencing at that location is being removed.

In a release, the pedestrian signal is described as appearing like a typical traffic signal with red, amber and green lights: When a pedestrian presses the button to cross, vehicles will be faced with a red light and will be required to stop.
“This new intersection pedestrian signal helps increase the safety of those travelling to and from popular Breakwater Park,” said Ian Semple, director of transportation services. “It is expected to be especially well used in warmer weather.”
