Councillor Jim Neill marked the completion of upgrades to the Memorial Centre playground on Sunday at an 11 am ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the public enjoying the playground and a free swim at the Tomlinson Aqua Park pool.

Attendees were also invited to check out the Memorial Centre Market during its regular Sunday hours of 9 am to 2 pm.

The new park features play equipment, paths, seating, picnic tables and trees (see final plan below). The Memorial Centre is located at 303 York Street.
