This past weekend, Crystal Head Vodka‘s limited-edition, hand-decorated John Alexander art series bottle arrived at LCBO outlets across the province.
Alexander, whose art has been exhibited at institutions that include the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. and Houston’s Museum of Fine Arts, designed the company’s distinctive skull shaped bottle and cofounded Crystal Head Vodka with Kingston-area resident Dan Aykroyd.
This limited edition bottle art comes from Alexander’s 1988 oil painting ‘Dancing on the Water Lilies of Life’. Over the past three years, 25,000 bottles have had this artwork applied by hand and numbered by one of three craftsmen in a small artisanal workshop in Milan, Italy.

Crystal Head Vodka is quadruple-distilled and triple-filtered through Herkimer diamond crystals. Produced from water sourced from a deep glacier lake in Newfoundland, the original CHV is produced by distilling high quality Canadian peach and cream corn from Ontario’s Chatham-Kent region while the newer Aurora line is made with English Wheat.
You can but the limited edition John Alexander art series bottle at the LCBO now while supplies last.
