The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston is welcoming four new Permanent Deacons who were ordained earlier this month by Archbishop Brendan O’Brien.

The four men were ordained at St. Mary’s Cathedral on December 7, 2018 with the reception of Holy Orders marking the end of four years of pastoral and theological studies, prayer, and service activities.

According to Journey – a communicator for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston – each of the deacons will be assigned a pastoral appointment that will complement his Ministry of Charity, the central aspect of his life and ministry.

The new deacons include Paul Bowman of Kingston, Brockville resident Allan Hogan, Peter Kelly of Perth, and Sharbot Lake’s Nicholas Whalen.

More information about the deacons can be found on page 10 of Journey newsletter’s December 2018 edition (pdf).
