Kingston Police Seek Convenience Store Robber [Video]

Kingston Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a robbery that occurred at Ken & Marg’s Grocery located at Montreal Street and Maccauley Street. (map)

Police report that a lone male entered the store on Thursday February 16 at 9:49pm, pulled out a knife with his left hand, and ordered the female clerk behind the counter to give him money from the till. A male employee was also working within the store at the time of the robbery and can be seen in the surveillance video posted by police. (embedded below)

The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen running southbound on Montreal St. towards Weller Ave.

He is described as a white male in his mid teens to early twenties, 5’8”-5’10” tall weighing between 160 & 190 pounds, with lightly tanned skin.

He has a slim build, brown eyes, brown hair, is clean shaven, has large lips and did not have any visible tattoos or piercings.

At the time of this robbery, he was wearing a dark green hoodie, dark pants, and dark skateboard shoes with white soles.

UPDATE: Kingston Police reported that on March 15th, 19 year old Brandon Turcotte was arrested without incident at a Kingston residence and charged with various offences in relation to this and one other robbery.
