Kingston Man Wins $100,000 with ENCORE Numbers

Published on: 2015/01/02 - in News

The holiday season became especially enjoyable for one Kingston resident after checking the lottery ticket he purchased earlier in the month.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) recently announced that Vuth Kao celebrated winning $100,000 with ENCORE for the December 5, 2014 PICK-4 EVENING draw.

According to the OLG, ENCORE can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1 with an ENCORE draw every day.

They report that Kao purchased his winning ticket at the Ultramar, located on Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard.

A provincial agency responsible for province-wide lottery games and gaming facilities, the OLG has provided nearly $40 billion to the Province and citizens of Ontario since 1975.

Its annual payments to the Province help support health care, education, research, prevention and treatment of problem gambling; amateur sport through the QUEST FOR GOLD program; and local and provincial charities.
