Kingston Named Best City to Retire in Canada

According to a new article by Comfort Life, which has been helping families find retirement communities since 2002, Kingston is the best city to retire in the country.

Kingston was ranked #1 in their Seven Best Places to Retire in Canada list, and described as having a “beautiful lakefront, excellent restaurants, and historic architecture” that infuse the city with an “indelible quaintness”.

It also called Kingston one of the safest cities to live, citing a Money Sense report – which likewise ranked Kingston the best city to retire – that showed us as having the fourth lowest Canadian crime rate in 2011.

Vancouver and Victoriaville (Quebec) came in second and third place in the Comfort Life list, with Halifax, Toronto, Bragg Creek (Alberta) and White Rock (BC) rounding off the top 7 cities.

The Comfort Life website connects communities with over 30,000 monthly viewers, and its magazine will be publishing their 10th annual edition in Spring 2012 that will reach over 200,000 families.
